CB124EV with mag lock and Locinox - Boneshed - 29-08-2025

Hi

I had gates fitted last year, and the installer really did not appear to know what he was doing when it came to wiring up the hardware.

I have the Liftmaster CB124EV control board with the add on 207399 electric lock add on transformer. There is a Maglock on the swing gates to hold them closed, and a Locinox dropbolt to anchor the 'second' gate when closed.

After the initial few weeks of install the Locinox stopped releasing in time for the gates to open, (it had been working perfectly until then).

I have seen the Mag lock wiring diagram further down this forum, thank you :-). Now trying to reverse engineer the rats nest of cables the installer has left in the box, as he has somehow tied in the mag lock wiring the the lamp terminals on the control board as well.

Is there a wiring diagram for the 207399 which shows what all of the terminals are?

Is there any guidance on how to make the Locinox work correctly, at the moment the installer left it installed but propped up on a block of wood.

Fingers crossed

Andy

Hi,

Thank you for your message.

There is not a manual as such for the 207399 showing the full scope of terminals and what they are, we just know where a lock or magnetic lock wires into from there and how to incorporate it I am afraid. I can speak with LiftMaster and see if they have anymore documentation on the 207399 that may be able to clarify for you its terminals.

In regards to the Locinox, I am very surprised to hear it has worked prior with a LiftMaster system. Specifically on the CB124 board, we have went back and forth with Technical members at LiftMaster regarding the Locinox drop bolts and incorporating them with their control boards and we have come to the conclusion it is not recommended and can not be done.

The reason why Locinox is unable to work on the LiftMaster control boards is they do not have something called a Pre-Flash function that you can activate through the Lock support board.
Most other panels will have a pre-flash function which works on the lock output, the whole point in this function is for the use of a drop bolt the gates will remain still while the board sends out voltage for a period of time to retract the drop bolt and then allow the motors to move but LiftMaster panels do not have this function which is why you have the issue you are facing currently I am afraid.

Many thanks
Ben

Hi Ben

Thanks for the reply. I have got it working in the meantime since my original post.

In case this helps anyone else the method I used was to use the yard light contacts on the control board with an external 24v power supply. And setting the light/spy dip switch to light mode.

Looking at the data sheet for the Locinox, it works with either a continuos signal OR a pulsed signal. The lamp contact on the control board closes as soon as the gates start to open, stays closed through the entire gate cycle and then opens after the built in lighting delay (approx 2 mins).
The built in delay between the first wing opening and the second wing opening (the Locinox is on the second wing) is more than enough time for the Locinox to lift.
