Gate not always shutting - LUX FC-2B

If we pause this gate on it's opening cycle, it always closes properly. If we let it open fully (without interruption) then SOMETIMES it does not close properly.

Is this about "opening pressure"? Or do we need to fit an opening limit stop (like a large rock?)?
